Der silberne Shaft „Doktor“ ist unverzichtbar für jeden Spieler, dessen Dartpfeile mit Nylon oder Kunststoff- Shafts ausgestattet sind. Der Shaft ist ein Verschleißteil und es ist unvermeidbar, dass ein abgeprallter, oder heruntergefallene Dart am Shaft-Ende abbricht und das Gewinde im Barrel stecken bleibt. Das Shaft-Doc Tool einfach auf den Barrel aufstecken und den abgebrochenen Shaft-Rest aus dem Gewinde herausdrehen.
